Team: Jonathan Barth

Jonathan Barth has come a long way in the Dutch legal world. He has supervised major international reorganisations in Amsterdam's Zuidas business district, including the first major legal demerger in the Netherlands. He then acted as a permanent advisor to family businesses and shareholder structures, real estate structures and the development of large entertainment venues. In recent years, Jonathan has focused his practice on litigation and disputes, always involving significant interests in dynamic environments. In corporate law, he advises on shareholder disputes and commercial issues. In real estate, he handles (unbundling of) partnerships and property law issues. His results are well above average and clients consistently express great appreciation for his commitment.

Jonathan has obtained recent progressive rulings in the field of post-transaction litigation (including warranty claims and earnouts), property disputes and liabilities relating to complex underground construction projects in Amsterdam (including basement construction and foundation repair).

Jonathan has experience as an in-house lawyer in a family business, which he advised for many years and where he was asked to continue to act for the buyer after the strategic sale. He is currently a director of a foundation for deaf children and chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Wuta housing association. At both institutions, he has reformed governance and strategy, in good harmony and with successful continuation of activities.

mr. Jonathan Barth has registered the following main (and sub) jurisdictions in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Dutch Bar Association:

Based on this registration, he is obliged to obtain ten training points in each registered main jurisdiction in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
